Frozen or live brine shrimp, bloodworms, daphnia
-
Occasional treats: mosquito larvae, tubifex

👩👩👧👧 Sorority Tips (If Keeping With Other Females):
-
Minimum of 4–5 females to spread aggression
-
Must be introduced simultaneously in a well-decorated tank
-
Provide lots of hiding spots (plants, caves, driftwood)
-
Watch closely for bullying, especially the first week
-
Not all females tolerate sororities — some may need to be rehomed or isolated
🤝 Tank Mates:
Compatible with peaceful community fish if not kept in a sorority:
Avoid:
-
Fin-nippers (like tiger barbs)
-
Fast fish that outcompete for food
-
Other bettas (males or females outside sororities)
📝 Notes:
-
Female Candy Nemo Bettas are just as personable as males
-
Color can change over time due to the marble gene (common in koi and candy types)
-
Regular water changes (25–50% weekly) are vital for health and color vibrancy
-
Use a lid—bettas are strong jumpers
-
Ideal for planted nano tanks or species-only setups
