When ordering livestock please select the box size and add it to your cart for accurate overnight (1-2 days) shipping costs. A small box can take 1-2 bags and a medium box 6 bags. One bag fits max 10 small (1-3cm) fish or max 2 medium (3-5cm) fish or max 1 large (>5cm) fish.

🌈 Description:

Guppies are among the most popular and colorful freshwater aquarium fish. They come in a wide range of tail shapes and vibrant colors due to extensive selective breeding. Males are smaller and more colorful, while females are larger and often have duller coloration. They are livebearers, meaning they give birth to free-swimming fry.

🏠 Tank Requirements:

• Tank Size: Minimum 10 gallons (38 liters) for a small group

• Water Temperature: 72–82°F (22–28°C)

• pH: 6.8–8.0

• Hardness: Moderate to hard (8–20 dGH)

• Filtration: Gentle to moderate; sponge or hang-on-back filters work well

• Aquascape: Plants, floating vegetation, and open swimming space

• Lighting: Moderate to bright lighting enhances their color

🍴 Diet:

Guppies are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet:

• High-quality flake or micro pellet food

• Frozen or live foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, or daphnia

• Vegetables or spirulina-based foods for fiber

Feed once or twice daily in small amounts.

🧬 Breeding:

• Guppies breed easily and often. Females give birth every 4 weeks.

• No special setup is required, but plants help fry survive.

• Keep a ratio of 1 male to 2–3 females to reduce stress on females.

• Consider separating sexes to control population.

🧡 Tank Mates:

Guppies are peaceful and do best with other non-aggressive fish like:

• Tetras (neon, ember, etc.)

• Corydoras

• Mollies, Platies, Swordtails

• Shrimp and snails
  Avoid fin-nippers like tiger barbs or large/aggressive fish.

• Regular water changes (25–50% weekly) keep them healthy.

• Guppies are hardy but sensitive to poor water quality.

• Excellent for beginners due to their easy care and active behavior.

• Consider adding aquarium salt (optional) for mild disease prevention.
