Corydoras-Pantanalensis(40mm)

Corydoras pantanalensis (Pantanal Cory) shows noticeable color and pattern differences between juveniles and adults:

Juvenile Pantanal Corydoras:

• Body color: Pale, almost translucent beige or silvery.

• Markings: Faint or minimal body patterns; may show a light line or speckling, but not well-defined.

• Fins: Clear or slightly tinted; lacking distinct patterning.

• Overall look: More streamlined, smaller head and eyes appear proportionally larger.

Adult Pantanal Corydoras:

• Body color: Richer beige to golden or greenish-silver sheen, especially under proper lighting.

• Markings: Well-defined horizontal dark stripe from snout through the eye to the caudal peduncle. Sometimes accompanied by additional subtle spotting or shading along the body.

• Fins: May develop darker rays or slight pigmentation.

• Overall look: Fuller-bodied, more pronounced armored scutes, and bold contrast in markings.
