Corydoras-Smudgespot

The Smudgespot Cory (Corydoras similis) is a peaceful and attractive bottom-dwelling catfish, prized for its delicate spotted pattern, shimmering blue-grey body, and friendly personality. Their unique "smudged" markings and active nature make them a fantastic addition to both planted aquariums and peaceful community tanks.

These social fish thrive when kept in groups of six or more, where they will spend their days exploring the substrate together, foraging for food, and displaying their natural schooling behaviour. Smudgespot Corys are hardy, easy to care for, and an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

A soft sand or fine gravel substrate is highly recommended to protect their sensitive barbels while they sift through the substrate in search of food. Their constant activity also helps keep the aquarium floor clean by consuming leftover food.
