Venezuelan Black Cory (Corydoras schultzei “Black”)
Description:
The Venezuelan Black Cory is a selectively bred color morph of the Corydoras schultzei, closely related to the Bronze Cory (Corydoras aeneus). Instead of the usual bronze or green coloration, this variety displays a stunning velvety black body with metallic undertones, making it a striking addition to community aquariums. Like all corys, it is peaceful, active, and thrives best in groups.

Diet:
Omnivorous bottom-feeder. Accepts sinking pellets, wafers, frozen/live foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia). Will scavenge leftovers but still requires regular feeding.
Compatibility:
Perfect for peaceful community aquariums. Suitable with tetras, rasboras, livebearers, dwarf cichlids, and other small non-aggressive fish.
⚠️ Please Note: Corydoras should never be kept on sharp gravel, as it can damage their barbels. Always house them in groups for natural, stress-free behaviour.
