Echeveria 'Lola' Succulent

Echeveria 'Lola' – Reptile & Pet Safe Succulent

Echeveria 'Lola' is a beautiful hybrid succulent with a tight, rosebud-like rosette of thick, sculpted leaves in soft grey-green with hints of pink, lavender, and blue. A fine powdery coating (farina) gives it a lovely matte finish. Best of all, it is non-toxic and safe for reptiles, amphibians, and other household pets.

Ideal for arid enclosures: Being a desert succulent, it thrives in dry, low-humidity setups, making it a great choice for bearded dragons, leopard geckos, and tortoises. It is not suited to high-humidity tropical enclosures, where it is likely to rot.

If nibbled: The plant has no sharp thorns, spines, or irritating sap, so a curious bite won't harm your reptile. That said, it should be a snack, not a meal, as large amounts of fibrous succulent leaves can cause a mild upset tummy.

Care guide:

• Light: Bright, indirect light or a few hours of gentle morning sun. Too little light will cause it to stretch and lose its compact rosette shape.
• Water: Soak the soil thoroughly, then let it dry out completely before watering again. Avoid water pooling in the centre of the rosette, which can cause rot.
• Soil: A free-draining succulent or cactus mix in a pot with a drainage hole.

Please note: As with most commercially grown plants, we recommend re-potting into clean, pesticide-free soil and giving the plant a gentle rinse before placing it in your pet's enclosure.
