INDICATIONS
ECO-FEM is an oral homeopathic medicine for use as an adjuvant to assist in regulation of the female hormonal system in animals.
ECO-FEM acts as a female reproductive tonic and specifically addresses issues related to conception, pregnancy and incontinence including:
- Bladder weakness, bladder and bowel incontinence in spayed females.
- Abnormal vaginal discharges
- Depression and mismothering
- Hormonal related mood swings
- Abnormal oestrous, anoestrus and infertility
- Hypersexual behaviour
- False pregnancy
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION INFORMATION
Frequency of dose
Commence treatment by dosing twice daily for four days, then reduce to a single daily dose.
For improved breeding performance, start dosing the females when the oestrous cycle begins.
For improved birthing, dose once daily for three days before and after the birth.
Give the prescribed dose of the medicine at least 10 minutes away from food or other remedies or supplements. If you are using more than one Eco-Vet medicine at a time, please give the medicines 10 minutes apart for maximum efficacy.
Preparation of medicine and directions for administration
ECO-FEM is prepared in 20% ethanol and should therefore be diluted before giving it to your animal.
While water is the best medium for administration, if your pet does not tolerate the water, you can substitute milk. As a last resort, you can give it on a little treat, but this may delay or impact the efficacy of the medicine.
When you are able to administer the medicine directly into your pet’s mouth, dilute the medicine in clean water and allow it to stand for a few minutes to allow the alcohol to evapourate. You can then administer the recommended dose of the diluted medicine directly into the mouth using a clean dry plastic spoon or syringe.
Alternatively, you can add the recommended dose of the medicine to the animal’s drinking water, stir with a plastic spoon and leave to stand for a few minutes to allow any alcohol to evapourate before giving it to your pet. Be sure to make up fresh drinking water at least once a day or whenever the water is soiled or dirty.

Add 5 drops of ECO-FEM to 5 ml clean water and leave to stand. for a few minutes. Administer 0,25 ml of the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. Alternatively, add 10 drops of ECO-FEM per 100 ml drinking water. |
| CATS & SMALL DOGS ( < 8 kg) |
Add 10 drops of ECO-FEM to 5 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer 0,5 – 1,0 ml of the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. Alternatively, add 10 drops of ECO-FEM per 100 ml drinking water. |

Add 10 drops of ECO-FEM to 2 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. |

Add 20 drops of ECO-FEM to 2 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. |
| FOALS, PONIES, LAMBS & KIDS: | Add 60 drops (3 ml) of ECO-FEM to 3 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. |
| HORSES: | Add 100 drops (5 ml) of ECO-FEM to 5 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. |
PRECAUTIONS / THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU USE THIS MEDICINE
Please consult your veterinarian if symptoms are severe or persist for longer than three days without improvement.
There are no known side effects. If your pet’s condition starts to deteriorate, please consult your veterinarian.
Giving an overdose or too much medicine is unlikely with a homeopathic medicine because it contains such minute doses of material substance. The only problem is if the medicine is not diluted correctly and the animal consumes too much alcohol, in which case you should consult your veterinarian.
