Description:
The Gold Ring Cowrie is a small, smooth-shelled marine snail known for its glossy white shell adorned with a distinct golden-yellow ring on the dorsal surface. These beautiful mollusks make excellent additions to reef and marine aquariums due to their peaceful nature and algae-eating habits.

Origin: Indo-Pacific region
Temperament: Peaceful
Reef Safe: With caution – may nip at soft corals or polyps if hungry

Care Level: Easy
Diet: Herbivore – primarily grazes on algae, film algae, and detritus. Supplement with dried seaweed or algae wafers if natural food is scarce.

Tank Requirements:

• Minimum Tank Size: 30 liters

• Temperature: 22–27°C

• pH: 8.1–8.4

• Salinity: 1.023–1.025

• Aquascape: Provide plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding spots during the day. Mostly nocturnal.

Note:
While generally reef safe, they should be monitored in coral-heavy tanks. If underfed, they may begin to graze on soft coral or sponges.
