As these are baby Red Monkey Flowerhorns, adult colouration, kok (nuchal hump) size, pearling, markings, body shape, and overall appearance will vary significantly between individuals. Genetics, diet, water quality, and husbandry all play a major role in how each fish develops.

Gender cannot be guaranteed at this size. Juvenile Flowerhorns are difficult to sex accurately, and any gender stated at the time of sale is our best assessment based on the fish's current appearance and should not be considered a guarantee.

Male Flowerhorns typically develop larger kok humps, brighter colours, heavier pearling, and more pronounced finnage than females. Females generally retain a smaller kok and exhibit more subdued colouration and patterning, although they remain attractive fish in their own right.
