Cherry Shrimp are one of the most popular freshwater shrimp in the aquarium hobby, loved for their bright red coloration and active personalities. They make excellent additions to community and planted tanks, helping to control algae while adding vibrant color and movement.

• pH: 6.5 – 7.5

• Diet: Omnivorous – algae, biofilm, shrimp pellets, blanched vegetables

• Temperament: Peaceful, great for community tanks with small non-aggressive fish

• Breeding: Readily breeds in freshwater under stable conditions

Cherry Shrimp thrive best in planted aquariums with hiding spaces such as moss, wood, and rocks. They are sensitive to poor water quality, so regular maintenance and stable parameters are essential.
