Orange Rili Shrimp are a striking freshwater dwarf shrimp variety prized for their unique pattern of vibrant orange coloration combined with clear, transparent sections along the body. Diet
Orange Rili Shrimp are omnivorous scavengers and should be fed a varied diet including:
- High-quality shrimp pellets
- Algae wafers
- Blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach, cucumber)
- Indian Almond Leaves
- Occasional protein-rich foods
They also naturally graze on algae and biofilm throughout the day.
Temperament
- Peaceful and social
- Best kept in groups of 10 or more
- Safe with other peaceful shrimp and small nano fish
- Avoid keeping with large or predatory fish
Breeding
Orange Rili Shrimp breed readily in freshwater without any special conditions. Females carry eggs beneath their abdomen for approximately 3–4 weeks before releasing fully formed miniature shrimp. A stable aquarium with plenty of cover greatly improves survival rates of the young.
