Tetra-Green Neon

All our fish, shrimp and corals are bagged with fresh oxygen as well as a heat pack in winter.

When ordering livestock please select the box size and add it to your cart for accurate overnight (1-2 days) shipping costs. A small box can take 1-2 bags and a medium box 6 bags. One bag fits max 10 small (1-3cm) fish or max 2 medium (3-5cm) fish or max 1 large (>5cm) fish.

🌿 Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans)

Description:
The Green Neon Tetra is a small, vibrant schooling fish known for its shimmering blue-green stripe and peaceful nature. Slightly smaller and more subtly coloured than the standard Neon Tetra, it adds a stunning iridescent glow to planted aquariums. Perfect for nano tanks and community setups, these tetras bring energy and colour to any aquascape.

🔧 Care Requirements:

• Temperature: 23–27°C

• pH: 5.0–7.0

• Tank Size: Minimum 40 litres

• Temperament: Peaceful and social – best kept in groups of 6 or more

• Diet: Omnivorous – accepts quality flakes, micro pellets, and frozen foods

• Tank Setup: Heavily planted tank with soft lighting and gentle filtration

🌱 Additional Notes:

• Prefers soft, slightly acidic water, similar to blackwater conditions.

• Should not be housed with larger or aggressive fish due to their small size.

• Regular water changes and stable parameters help ensure their vibrant coloration and health.
