The Ultum Nature Systems Reef System line provides a solid reef-ready foundation. Available in two stand colors and five tank sizes, UNS R line aquariums feature signature UNS 45° mitered edges, black silicone and thicker, ultra-clear glass ensuring long term performance. The included aluminum-framed stand with a built-in sump filtration system features magnetic and fully removable doors for easy device control and personalized customization. Larger models include storage drawers for organization of aquarium essentials and more. Each detail of this system was carefully considered and designed to provide the right balance of functionality and aesthetic.

The overflow box features low-profile intake slots at the top and bottom, with a vertical glass safeguard to prevent flooding in case of pump failure. Its durable polycarbonate lid resists heat and warping, while flush-fitting covers minimize salt creep and are easy to remove. The aluminum-framed cabinet includes fully removable magnetic doors, eliminating rust-prone hinges. It comes fully assembled with a pre-installed sump for simple setup—just place the tank, connect pre-glued pipes, and secure with twist-on unions. Pre-cut wire management holes and, in most models, pull-out drawers enhance organization. Larger models (R90 and up) feature a built-in controller box for surge protection and cable management, with a bottom section for a chiller and a viewing window. Removable controller boards are accessible through a side door, keeping wires neatly tucked away.

The system includes gate valves for smooth water flow and reduced noise, along with a ball valve and barbed fittings on the return line to accommodate external equipment like reactors or chillers. A gasket beneath the drain pipe and sump helps minimize salt creep. The multi-chamber sump features a prefilter baffle to trap larger solids on filter floss, reducing the need for frequent filter sock changes, while diffuser plates reduce noise and prevent filter sock floating during maintenance. The second chamber is adjustable to fit various protein skimmers, with an acrylic baffle allowing for water level customization. The third chamber offers flexibility for additional media or use as a refugium, with adjustable water levels. An acrylic ATO with a pre-installed float valve ensures seamless automatic top-offs.
