Product Description
UNS Hemianthus Callitrichoides 'Cuba' – Tissue Culture
UNS Hemianthus Callitrichoides 'Cuba', commonly known as HC Cuba or Dwarf Baby Tears, is one of the smallest and most popular carpeting plants in the aquascaping hobby. Featuring tiny, vibrant green leaves and a low-growing, creeping habit, this plant creates a beautifully dense, lush carpet across the foreground of freshwater aquariums.
Perfect for Iwagumi and nature-style aquascapes, HC Cuba provides a fine, delicate texture that enhances the natural appearance of any planted aquarium.
For optimal growth, HC Cuba requires strong lighting, consistent CO₂ injection, and adequate nutrients. Under suitable conditions, it spreads horizontally across the substrate, gradually forming a thick green carpet. Regular trimming helps maintain compact, healthy growth.
Grown using sterile tissue culture techniques, UNS HC Cuba is supplied free from snails, algae, and unwanted pests, making it an excellent choice for establishing a clean, healthy aquascape.
